PAW Status:
Inventor Tony Kusian has developed a working prototype of the Power Assist Winch. (To see this prototype in action, navigate to the media section of this website.) Kusian created his prototype from a standard, no-frills, non-electric sailing winch. His eventual goal is to see PAW technology implemented across a wide array of currently-existing electric winches.
What needs to be done:
Kusian's PAW technology is currently patent pending. Unfortunately, securing a patent is a timely, arduous, and most importantly, expensive proposition. In addition to the production costs associated with the actual device, a patent attorney must be secured to meet the rigorous, exacting standards of the U.S. Patent Office.
In order to realize his dream, Tony is willing to entertain investment offers from sailing enthusiasts, venture capitalists, and the average Joe/Jane. Those interested in investing in the PAW should send Mr. Kusian an email (powerassistwinch@gmail.com) or fill out the form in the contact section of this website.
